The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Grace Janes can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

The best Mom I could ever ask for

In 2002 Trudy knew I needed help and a place to live.  She took me home to Grace and Morley and they opened their home and their hearts to me.  They called me their adopted daughter from the states and gave me more love than I have ever known.  When I was finally able to move back home to the states, I heard from Mom every few weeks in cards and letters and we spoke on the phone even more often.  She always kept me up on the family goings on and all the neighbors they talked to that week.  Over the years, I’ve been able to return for visits many times. I always felt like I had come home.  She gave me strength with her advice and caring when things were rough and she delighted and shared her joy when things were going great.  When my faith lagged, hers bolstered me!  And the love she and Dad shared were truly an inspiration to me.  We’ve shared so many stories and memories I will cherish all the rest of my days.  The gift of her love has been the most precious thing I’ve known and I will truly miss her presence in my life. She will live forever in my memories and my heart.

Mom, I miss you so much but the joy of knowing you are with God and with Dad brings me much happiness. You were the best mom anyone could ever ask for!

All my love,

Nancy
