The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Proctor May can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

My Favourite Uncle

When my parents divorced, Uncle Proc used to come over and take all 5 of us kids to Dairy Queen, I was 8 years old at the time.  I had never been to a Dairy Queen before. It was such a small thing for Uncle Proc to do, but meant so much to me. I can remember how excited I would get and I can almost taste the chocolate dipped cones.  He also brought me to the cottage where I learned to waterski.  He was more of a father to me than my own.  He would stop in to see us in Orillia on the way to the cottage and sometimes he would take us to the Sundial Restaurant.  I can remember the lectures he gave me to be good to my Mom.(lighthearted of course with a mixture of his sense of humour and a wink of his eye). His love and kindness, especially to my Mom, will not be forgotten.  May you rest in peace.

Love your niece Shelagh xox
