The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of John Ellstrom can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

The lighting of a Memorial Candle not only provides a gesture of sympathy and support to the immediate family during their time of need but also provides the gift of extending the Book of Memories for future generations.

Thank you, John

I have many great memories of John. Both Wayne and I enjoyed many laughs and discussions with him. He was my friend and support, in my first years as principal at Princess Elizabeth School. He shared his expertise and knowledge and kept me out of trouble on many ocassions. He helped me make things happen for kids and staff that needed to be done but for which we got no support beyond the school. We had many laughs together, as a result of my lack of knowledge and keeness to make things happen. Whether he was watching me try to calm a threatening parent, supporting staff or tracking a young culprit, he was there everytime I needed him. He played a huge role in the safety of our school. John has left us to answer a greater calling. He will be sadly missed. Our memories will live on for many years to come. I for one, will cherish my memories and  will celebrate that I had the pleasure of working with him, learning from him and sharing moments with he and his family.

To Barbara and 'the boys', please accept our deepest sympathy.  Know that  you are in our hearts and that we are only a phone call away,

Sincerely

Sharon and Wayne
