In memory of Mr. Robertson
Shortly after I have become friends with Natalie, I met with Mr & Mrs. Robertson. They were always so welcoming to me and that made me feel like home. Mr. Robertson and I had some really good conversations in the past. He was always interested in knowing what life is like back in China. In 2000, they visited Natalie in China and went to visit my parents (I was there as well). This pic was taken at a restaurant near a very well known lake in my city. It was a privilege for me to show them my city.
I am also very impressed with Mr. Robertson’s love and support for Amy and Natalie. I still remembered the centerpiece he had made for Natalie’s wedding. The last time we saw Mr. Robertson was in a Bubble tea store in Toronto (right before Natalie was going to move). I can tell how sad he was to know Natalie was moving far and he wouldn’t be able to see her regularly. But he was also very proud of Natalie and was supportive of her decision. I will have to say what an AMAZING dad he was to Amy and Natalie.
It broke my heart when I was told he had passed away, but at the same time there is assurance knowing he is in a better place, a place with no pain and no tears and I will see him again one day. What a great hope we have in Christ.
Mr. Robertson, I will always remember your laugh, your love for music, and your love for the people around you and your family.
