Condolence: Steve and Deb - my condolences to you at this sad time. Your Mom was one of the first to welcome us to the Blind Line when we moved to Orangeville in 1964 and your Dad was our Vet until he retired. I enjoyed many coffees with your Mom at your house. She was a lovely lady and I am sure you have many happy memories.

Condolence From: Donna Douglas
Condolence: Hello Debbie and Stephen... this is such a sad time for you and your families. Your wonderful, gentle, softspoken Dad is gone and now your creative, kind Mom goes to join him. As a long time "choir mother" at Westminster United Church, your mom joined our mom, Gena, in the duties of keeping the members of the junior choir dressed, lined up, music-in-hand, smiles on faces. They were there for choir practices; they were there on Sunday mornings. And their friendship grew with that commitment, I think. I don't have mailing addresses for either of you, but would certainly like to have a way to connect with you after tomorrow. I wish I could be there... a wonderful, wonderful woman!

Condolence From: Sam Douglas
Condolence: Yvonne was one of the first friends that my mom (Gena Douglas) made when she and my dad moved to Orangeville in 1952. They remained great buddies for all of those years. As my brother has already mentioned they spent many hours together sharing stories and coffee at numerous places around town. They were definitely the original Golden Girls. I have fond memories of time spend at the Dudgeon's as a young girl. And always remember Yvonne's corgi dogs. She had them before the Queen made them popular. So much history, so many years. It is truly sad to be saying goodbye to so many of my parent's friends. My thoughts to Debbie and Stephen and families. She was a memorable, gentle, giving, always happy soul.

Condolence From: Al Douglas
Condolence: On behalf of the Douglas family, my sisters Donna, Sam and Pam and especially my mom Gena, a lifelong friend of Vvonne's, we all keep the Dudgeon family members in our thoughts. Vvonne was a member of a very exclusive group that my dad (Don) referred to as the Golden girls. They met regularly to share coffee, laughs and their love for each other over many years. It pains my heart to witness time take these wonderful people to another place.
