I shared many a pint with Lucky and have many good memories of him. He made me a bike that I still have, kicked my but at tennis every chance he got, and always had a good story to tell. He was a great guy, got along with everyone, was level headed, and very laid back. We worked together for at lest 5 years at the Lockmaster where we had many good friends including Brian, Uncle Deals, Curtis, Mike, Brandy, Peter, Karl, Brett, Terry and Clancy to name a few. I got another job at the Prescott and in the basement they had an off track betting parlor. I stopped in at the Lock for a pint and told him I was going to work and he said here is two bucks, just give me trifecta. This is a risky bet but since it was just a twonie it seemed very reasonable. I went in and dropped down the twonie and said to the cashier this is for Lucky... Low and behold he won the race and some 200 bucks. I walked over to collect and the girl looked at me with her eyes wide open and simply said, "HE IS LUCKY!" That was Mike...
My thoughts and prayers go out to his family in this time of sorrow. I will miss you Mike.
Sincerely,
Mark
