A cousin remembers

Looking back it seems like only a little while ago that Mum was reading a letter from Grandma Brown telling us that Jim and Deanna had surprised everyone by getting married. Jim was the oldest child and older brother to my cousins Judy and Nancy, just like Clyde was the oldest child and older brother to me. We girl-cousins grew up in a sort-of parallel life, Jim and younger sibs in Ontario, Clyde and me, in B.C. Judy, Nancy, and I traced the business successes of both our big brothers over the years and shared stories of spouses, kids, and events. I had the pleasure of visiting Jim's trucking business in 2001 and saw the pride with which Jim presented both his business and his own new generation partnering with him. It seems unbelievable that he's gone. He achieved so much and left so much for his family who follow. Rest in peace, Jim.
