LARSON, Linda Irene (nee Bitten)
May 20, 1940 – May 13, 2014
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Linda on May 13, 2014. Linda was in her 74th year. Originally from London, England, Linda called Orangeville home for 60 years. Her many life experiences included 35 years of service with Bell Canada’s operator services. Known for her sharp wit, kind heart and loving way she will be missed by all whose lives she touched.
A cherished mother to Tim and his girlfriend JoAnn, Susan and her husband Robert and a treasured Nanny to Joel and Brandon. She also leaves behind her brothers Michael and his wife Liz, Patrick and partner Shirley, Stephen and his wife Margaret. Linda will be fondly remembered by Glenn and her many nieces and nephews.
In accordance with Linda’s wishes cremation has already taken place. There will not be a traditional service, instead the family asks that friends and family join them in a celebration of Linda’s life on Saturday, May 24th, 2014 at Monora Park Pavilion in Mono between that hours of 2:00 – 5:00 p.m.
Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation in memory of Linda can be made in lieu of flowers.
A tree will be planted in memory of Linda in the Dods & McNair Memorial Forest at the Island Lake Conservation Area, Orangeville. A dedication service will be held on Sunday, September 14th, 2014 at 2:30 p.m.
