Peacefully at Dufferin Oaks on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at the age of 77. Beloved husband of Eileen Whalen. Dear father of Wanda Potkolabovic (Walter), Cheryl Whalen and Robert (Brenda). Cherished grandfather of Jacqueline, Michelle, Nicholas, Matthew, Britney and Mathew. Remembered by his brothers Cyril (Marie), Randy (Annie) and his sisters Marion Drodge, Ferne Drodge and Joan Arimini (Ivan). Eldon will also be greatly missed by other relatives and many friends.
Memorial Service will be held at Dods & McNair Funeral Home, Chapel & Reception Centre, 21 First Street, Orangeville, on Saturday, November 5, 2016 at 2:30 p.m. Visitation will begin at 1:30 p.m. Memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society or Dufferin Oaks Music & Memories Program or Palliative Care Program would be appreciated by the family.
A tree will be planted in memory of Eldon in the Dods & McNair Memorial Forest at the Island Lake Conservation Area, Orangeville. A dedication service will be held on Sunday, September 10, 2017 at 2:30 p.m. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.dodsandmcnair.com
