Condolence: To Karen and family. I was shocked and very saddened to hear about Ed's passing. I worked with Ed for 35 years at TRCA. He was so amiable and quiet spoken. He was a pleasure to work with. I was at his retirement party and was glad to see him so happy about retiring and spending more time with all of you. He did a very touching speech. It wasn't long ago that I was thinking about him and hoping he was happy in his retirement. I thought I would see him again at the pancake breakfast but I guess it wasn't meant to happen. My heart goes out to all of you in this time of grief and loss.

Condolence: Dear Patterson family, I am so saddened to hear of Ed's passing. I had the honour of working with him at TRCA and seeing the impact he had both on the people who worked with him and on the people who enjoyed the conservation areas. My thoughts are with all of you at this incredibly difficult time.

Condolence: Karen, Elann & Logan, Nolan, Wendy, Joe and Janice... There are no words to describe the passing of someone like Ed. My thoughts are going to be with all of you for the coming days. All I know is that Ed was taken from you all too soon. I will remember him as a down to earth man, a great father and brother and friend. He was always there to lend a hand without ever asking anything in return. Take good care of each other through these tough first steps without him.

Condolence From: David and Elizabeth Walker - Johnson
Condolence: Ed was such a kind man and came into our lives when our son Ryan met Nolan Patterson about 12 years ago and they became best friends. Ed then hired Ryan at Glen Haffy and he worked for him these past eight summers. Ed was like an uncle to Ryan and taught him many, many skills in conservation and fish hatchery . Ed was part of our "family by choice" and his quiet guidance of his "boys" has forever shaped Ryan and many other young people who had the privilage of working for him. Ed was so proud of his family and especially at Nolan and Emmy's wedding , where his pride of his son, wife, daughter and daughter in law, shone from him. We will miss Ed and are forever grateful for his kindness and mentoring of Ryan.
