The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Clifford Hayes can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Remembering Cliff... Cliff came into my life 70 years ago when he was courting my sister Joan in Dundalk. Cliff had just returned from World War 2 having served overseas with the North Nova Scotia Highlanders regiment ending his tour in Holland with the Canadian troops having defeated the German Occupation. Cliff worked with Orangeville Bottling Works as a Coca Cola driver for many years before beginning his career as the "Canadian Bread Man" where he served Orangeville for many years. For those who knew Cliff, he was always ready with a smile and hello. He had great interest in sports having played hockey and baseball as a young man and was an avid follower of both lacrosse and hockey at the local arena with his friends. Cliff was a loving husband, father and grandfather and a true gentleman. Joan and Cliff will be twirling around the floor to the strains of Sentimental Journey, "Together for Two".
