Condolences

Condolence From: Dr. Beverly Harris
Condolence: My condolences to the entire Sands family. My friendship with Alan grew out of both our shared love of sports cars and his passion for good humour. I will remember him most fondly from our BEMC motor club days. His incredible sense of humour and banjo playing days will forever remain as fond memories.

His 3 wives. And a mention to Marlise - Who stood by him and enjoyed him for who he was?? This Man was larger than life . So many good memories. Love to those that keep him their heart!

Condolence: Marlies and Family,
It’s hard to know what to say at a time like this and I cannot know how you feel. I did not know Alan very well, but I do know that he was someone who lived his life the best he knew how to and that he touched each person who crossed his path in a very unique way, leaving them with special memories of their own.
My wish for you and your family is that your memories will give you strength in this difficult time and will hold you up in the days to come.
My thoughts are with you.

Condolence: Dear Marlies and Family,
We were so sorry to hear of Alan's passing. It's over 50 years since we first met Alan, and he was larger than life then, and remained so always. The world will be a duller place without him.
Our thoughts and sympathy are with you.
Dave & Pauline Smith.

Condolence From: David Sands
Condolence: Dear Family,

My name is David Sands and your father is the son of my Uncle Norman. My father Harold was Norman's younger brother. The last time I saw Alan was at my sister Pat's funeral.

I remember reading about Alan in a Toronto Star article, which mentioned his love of cars, and his efforts to acquire antique vehicles.

I was a former high school history and social science teacher. Through research, I found very interesting information about Uncle Norman. He was a very impressive person, which makes me see that Alan was also very impressive in his own way.

Please accept my deepest sympathy for the loss of Alan. My phone number is 905-823-4749, and my email address is dsands@sympatico.ca. Please kindly contact me at your convenience.
