I first met Bertha at Bible Study when our two churches merged in 2008. Bertha led the group for a period of time, and did so very capably but was very humble about serving as a leader. Bertha has faced a lot of troubles in her life, but has leaned hard on the Lord and remained unshaken in her faith. She was a gentle, inspiring, and positive person, always willing to help others in any way she could, and ready to share a laugh. I will miss her, but know that she is with Jesus. and is completely healthy once again.
