Condolences

Condolence From: Tim Nielsen
Condolence: I only had come across this literally today. but I have fond memories of Bruce. In the 1980s. He was a teacher at Mono Amaranth Public School. And he was my 5th grade teacher in the 1986-87 year. There was never a more entertaining teacher in elementary school than him. I think we spent more time outside than in the little out door portable that was our class room that school year studying nature, Going on school yard adventures. And until that year. I never knew you could eat dandilions. I'll never forget him. Rest in Peace Bruce until we all meet again in the great big School Portable above x And Condolences to the family xo

Condolence: Dear Bernadette and your daughter: I remember working with Bruce somewhere along the line of our careers and can't remember where(again). I know he knew Linda and Diane Looby from away back. We go even farther back, to Gord Henry and so on, but my thoughts are with you both at this time. "Live,Laugh, and Love" as life can be short. Condolence: I am saddened to know that Bruce has passed away, and I want to extend my sincere condolences to Bernie and Alison. My experiences with Bruce were invariably enjoyable, as he was a remarkable person and a fine companion. His insightful perspectives on daily events, his gentle humour and his sharp sarcasm marked a strong mind and a sociable demeanour. A highlight of many of the meals we shared at the “officers mess” of Camp Shilo, was Bruce’s trenchant observations about the selection of the food, the adequacy of the cooking, and the abruptness of the presentation. He showed us many things in our surroundings that we would have missed without him, and now we will miss him.

Condolence: Dear Bernadette & Alison - I send sympathy for your loss. He was a wonderful teacher, and enjoyed Pine Lake and Muskoka. I remember how he delighted in the company of your dog, too. His love for Alison seemed endless. He was a strong, loving and determined person. I feel lucky to have known him.

Condolence: So sorry to hear of Bruce's passing. I was hoping to see him again at our Shiloh gathering next month. We had a great time in New England after camp exactly 54 years ago, and that's how I will remember him. My condolences to his wife and family.

Condolence: I trained with Bruce as a COTC Officer Cadet in Shilo, Manitoba, and was fortunate to see him again a few years ago at the initiative of our mutual friend, Peter Spurr. He will no doubt be missed by his family and friends. A true gentleman and an inspiration to everyone who fights on against great odds!

Condolence: I am so sorry. I haven't seen Bruce since my VON days but have thought of you both often. Bruce was an inspiration. I particularly remember my first visit with Bruce after my Dad passed. He indicated for me to sit down and held my hand. His message was clear and so appreciated. We had a few chuckles too during those visits. Bernie, you and Alison are in my thoughts and prayers.

Condolence: I am sorry to hear Mr mccordick has passed. I have been taking care of his eyes for 12 years. I only knew Mr mccordick after his accident as a wheelchair bound patient. It was always nice to see him and his wife as they were a very nice couple given the circumstances. I wish I could of offered him more in terms of his vision but I did the best I could. I seem to recall that he was once a phys ed teacher or very active prior to his accident. I liked him-he will be missed.

Condolence: Dear Bernie and Alison

Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Bruce will live on in our memories of the wonderful times at the cottage over the years, and his insightful weekly emails. It is a pity that distance prevents us being with you.

With sympathy
Ruth, Bill and Fiona
