Orford, Joan (nee Field)
Peacefully into the arms of her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at the age of 94. Beloved wife of the late Frank Orford. Dear mother of Michael Orford, Patricia Allen (Patrick), Christopher Orford (Janice), Barb Hacker (Dave) and Suzie McQueen (Gord). Loving grandmother of 13 and great-grandmother of 18. Cherished sister of Elizabeth Miles. Much loved by caregivers, Marilyn and Jo Anna. She led a full life of love and laughter and is now reunited with her husband Frank. Joan will also be greatly missed by other relatives and many friends.
A Celebration of Joan's Life will be held at Dods & McNair Funeral Home, Chapel & Reception Centre, 21 First St., Orangeville, Ontario on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m.
Interment to follow at Riverside Cemetery, Etobicoke.
Memorial donations to Word of Life Missions Fund or Incalink Mission (South America).
A tree will be planted in memory of Joan in the Dods & McNair Memorial Forest at the Island Lake Conservation Area, Orangeville. A dedication service will be held on Sunday, September 10, 2017 at 2:30 p.m. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.dodsandmcnair.com
