Words cannot express my shock when I read the paper today. Just the other day I was thinking of you Fred, Rob and I in the stands at the old Shelburne arena, sneaking cigarettes and cheering while Tom and Hal played and our dads had one of their usual gab fests. Coincidence? Maybe. By reading the condolences, I see that Rob hadn't changed at all, he was still a beautiful person inside and out. My thoughts are with you all

Condolence: Our sympathies to Fred, Hal, Mary Jane and Andrew. We were saddended to hear of Rob's sudden passing. I have many memories of Rob and his connection through 4-H and especially the 4-H beef club. A life cut short to soon.

Condolence: Fred, Hal, Mary Jane and Andrew - this comes as a complete shock. He was far too young! It seems like only yesterday when we would walk home from Camilla school, the four of us - Robbie, Fred, my brother Michael and myself. Sometimes we'd stop in an play for a bit before my brother and I headed on home. So many fond boyhood memories with the Thompson's. My thoughts are with each of you at this time of loss.

His kindness, sincerity and sense of humour touched our hearts and will be remembered forever.
