Condolences

Condolence From: Normand Champigny
Condolence: Pat, Judith and Simon,

Nicole and I were very sad to find out about Peter.
As a colleague at Coopers & Lybrand, he was a true mentor but also a friend and most important of all a wonderful person. Sometime I felt like I was another son.

Our family became very close. He was always available to help and listen. Pat and Peter’s generosity will be remembered forever. On the eve of relocating from Toronto to Chile, they hosted us and filled the conversation with their wisdom.

We have lost a first rate geologist and mining professional, a friend and an exceptionally kind person.

Unfortunately, I am unable to attend the funeral ceremony, but he is there in my thoughts.

Condolence: So sad for your loss Pat, Simon, Judith and Zoe.
I have wonderful memories of great dinners and engaging times spent together at the farm. John especially enjoyed visiting Peter's "barn" viewing his newest fishing flies - especially the ones make with our prize rooster's feathers. Perhaps they will meet up and reminisce on these and other business ventures together.

Condolence: Pat, Judith and Simon...

We were so sad to hear the news from Kathy regarding Peter. He was always there with a smile, a smoke and a good story whenever one needed cheering up or companionship. Having Peter and you next door to us at Truman was a wonderful thing. Mom particularily enjoyed the company from such a well-rounded lot. We'll never forget the fine beer, wine and food feasts you invited us to enjoy. And most of all, to this day, as Wendy and I watch young couples getting married at the local San Clemente golf course (just a few feet from the noisy, smog-enriched 5 Freeway) we will never forget Peter's and your generosity in donating your serene country estate for our wedding back in 1994. It's hard to believe it's been that long, but it feels like yesterday when we think of our piper, piping on the hill amidst a sea of blue skies and wind-blown wheat. Truly magical, all thanks to the Grimley gang.
We wish we could be there on Wednesday, and know that we are in our thoughts.
Here's to better days ahead. I'm sure Peter would drink to that :)

Condolence: Pat, Simon, Judith and family,

It was a true honour to be a part of Peter's life, even if for a short period. He was a truly remarkable man with stories to knock your socks off. His warm smile, big hugs and sense of humour will always hold a spot in my heart.

Thinking of you all!
