Obituary for Edith Helena Clements (Bullivant)
Clements, Edith (nee Bullivant)
Peacefully at Avalon Care Centre, Orangeville on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 in her 102nd year. Predeceased by her loving husband Bill and dear friend, Ted Tiffin. Edith will be missed by her nieces and nephews: Pat & Wilfrid Robinson and their children, Edith & Wilfrid; Cathy & Mark Lethbridge and their children, Alex & Shawna; Peter & Heidi Pass; David & Joan Pass; and by her cousin Alex Murray. .
Without children of her own, Edith will be fondly remembered by the many people she embraced in her long life, as a friend, “mother”, ”aunt”, “ grandmother”, and “great-grandmother”.
Heartfelt thanks to all her caregivers, including Megan McDougall, Lori Peters, and, especially, Carolyn Brunette for their faithful and caring friendship. Grateful thanks also to Dr. Wilson, the nurses of D-wing at Headwaters Hospital, and the staff of Avalon Care Centre for their compassionate care.
A Memorial Service to Celebrate Edith’s Life will be held at the Dods & McNair Funeral Home, Chapel & Reception Centre, 21 First St., Orangeville on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation 1 hour prior at 10:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Scott Mission, Headwaters Health Care Foundation, or a charity of choice would be much appreciated.
A tree will be planted in memory of Edith in the Dods & McNair Memorial Forest at the Island Lake Conservation Area, Orangeville. A dedication service will be held on Sunday, September 10, 2017 at 2:30 p.m. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.dodsandmcnair.com
