Obituary for Brandon James Stanley Courtney

Brandon James Stanley Courtney
Courtney, Brandon James
It is with a deep and profound sadness that the Courtney family announces the sudden passing of their beloved Brandon James Stanley Courtney on Thursday, April 21, 2016 at the age of 37.
Brandon is survived by his beautiful daughter Ellie, who was the light of his life. He will be terribly missed by his proud parents, Mark and Jane Courtney, brothers, Broc (Corina) and Cory (Treva) Courtney. Brandon was a proud uncle to Daniel and Rebecca Courtney. Brandon will also be missed by his aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends whose hearts Brandon held a special place in.
Brandon was born October 5th 1978 in Orangeville, Ontario and raised in Grand Valley, Ontario. Brandon spent many days throughout the summer months in his younger years with his late grandparents Stanley and Meryl Courtney, as well as his late grandmother Joy Goddard. In his later teen years, Brandon began his trade as a stone mason where his obvious creative strengths shone through in the beautiful work he did. Brandon’s passions included animals, motorcycles, fishing and most of all being with friends and family, especially his daughter. Brandon’s bond with his dog Chico was very special, and a delight for his friends and family to witness as it was such a clear indication of his love for animals.
Brandon will be remembered for his sense of humour, his huge heart, his physical strength, his natural artistic abilities, and his unending willingness to help others.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that a donation is made to a trust fund for his daughter Ellie at GoFundMe Link (gofundme.com/2cfwrjwc) or they can also be made at Dods & McNair Funeral Home on the day of the funeral.

Visitation will be held at the Dods & McNair Funeral Home, Chapel & Reception Centre, 21 First Street, Orangeville on Thursday, April 28, 2016 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm.
Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel at 1:00 pm.
Private Family Interment.

A tree will be planted in memory of Brandon in the Dods & McNair Memorial Forest at the Island Lake Conservation Area, Orangeville. A dedication service will be held on Sunday, September 11, 2016 at 2:30 p.m. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.dodsandmcnair.com
