Kate Stokes (O'Donnell)

Ruth, Lynn, Scott family and friends. Our hearts are very sad to hear of the passing of Mr. Hickey. He has always been Mr. Hickey to us so its hard to refer to him by his first name. Our long history with your family goes way back when Lynn, Peter and I were little kids playing outside and both of our parents getting together. Mr. Hickey was always a very sweet, kind man who would welcome you into his home any time. I recall a couple of times when our lawnmower wasn't working and all of a sudden our grass was cut right to perfection. He did this without asking and definitely out of the generosity of his heart. Truly a wonderful neighbour and friend. Both of them came over to our home and announce that it was time for them to leave the area and head north before the sign went up. We would miss you tremendously. We are so shocked as we just discovered this sad announcement about Mr. Hickey. Our hearts and thoughts are with all during this very sad time. Please know that our warm embrace surrounds all of you during this time. Much Love, Brian and Kate Stokes
