Peacefully at Headwaters Health Care Centre on Thursday, May 12, 2016 at the age of 83. Beloved husband of Edie. Dear father of Anthony (Anthea), Patrick (Rhonda) and Jim (2004). Cherished grandfather of Gregory, Chelsea, Michael, Danielle, Gabriel, Peyton and Sofia. Remembered by his sisters Emily (Ivan), Liz (Ralph) and Barbara (Aubrey). Predeceased by his brothers Richard, Danny, George, Willie and his sister Hetty. Ernie will also be greatly missed by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held at the Dods & McNair Funeral Home, Chapel & Reception Centre, 21 First Street, Orangeville on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 pm. Funeral Service will be held at St. Timothy Catholic Church, 42 Dawson Rd., Orangeville on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at 11:00 am. Interment to follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Orangeville. Memorial donations to Southlake Health Centre Foundation or Headwaters Health Care Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
A tree will be planted in memory of Ernie in the Dods & McNair Memorial Forest at the Island Lake Conservation Area, Orangeville. A dedication service will be held on Sunday, September 11, 2016 at 2:30 p.m. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.dodsandmcnair.com
