Obituary for Anthony Francis Xavier Balch
Passed away peacefully at his residence in Grand Valley on Sunday, January 31st, 2016 at the age of 89. A true English gentleman, charming and gallant. Anthony was a decorated WWII veteran. He was the centre point of the family and will be missed by all who knew him. Beloved father of Trevor (Christy) and Loretta (Steve Wright). Devoted grandfather of Phillip Wright and Alex, Natasha, Sam, Adam, Ryan, Liam and Darby Balch. Cherished great-grandfather of London.
Friends will be received at Simes Funeral Home, 48 Main St. S., Grand Valley on Wednesday, February 3rd from 2 – 4 p.m.and 7 – 9 p.m.. A celebration of Anthony’s life will be held Sunday, February 7th at 2 p.m. at the Compass Community Church, 246289 Hockley Rd, Mono.
In memory of Anthony, donations may be made to 85 Tornado Air Cadet Squadron to help raise funds for the 2017 Vimy Ridge/Normandy trip. Donations may be made through Simes Funeral Home, Grand Valley (519) 928-2933.
