Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Ernest Sheldon can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

With family by his side at Southlake Regional Health Centre, Newmarket on Friday, August 21, 2015 at the age of 84. Beloved husband of 63 years to Dolores. Loving father of Debbie Hillier (Michael), Richard (Linda), and Mary Jane "MJ" (Deb). Cherished grandpa of Cortney, Ainsley Dzikowski (Jeremy), Jamey Bohte (Mike), Kayla, Shauna, Alan Goulard, Jason Goulard and great grandpa of Cole, Taylor and Jacob. Dear brother of Olga Rivett, Doris Moody, and Wally (June). Will be greatly missed by his four legged grandchildren Oliver, Leksy, Hank, and Bauer. Lovingly remembered by other relatives and many friends. Ernest was a proud member of over 60 years to Union Local 46.

Visitation will be held at the Dods & McNair Funeral Home, Chapel & Reception Centre, 21 First Street, Orangeville on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel on Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at 11 a.m. Memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.

A tree will be planted in memory of Ernest in the Dods & McNair Memorial Forest at the Island Lake Conservation Area, Orangeville. A dedication service will be held on Sunday, September 13, 2015 at 2:30 p.m. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.dodsandmcnair.com
