Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of John Daykin can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Suddenly at home on Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at the age of 57. Beloved son of Hanna and the late Arthur. Cherished step-father of Blair Miller (Melissa Lackey). Dear brother of Nina Noble (Jamie). Adored uncle of Aidan and Julia. Cherished partner of Linda Dales. John will also be missed by other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held at the Dods & McNair Funeral Home, Chapel & Reception Centre, 21 First Street, Orangeville on Friday from 6-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Saturday, August 8, 2015 at 11 a.m. Memorial donations to the Orangeville S.P.C.A. or the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.

A tree will be planted in memory of John in the Dods & McNair Memorial Forest at the Island Lake Conservation Area, Orangeville. A dedication service will be held on Sunday, September 13, 2015 at 2:30 p.m. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.dodsandmcnair.com
