The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Myah Windrim can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Getting to know Myah

I only met Myah once and she wouldn't remember it as she was only a few months old at the time. I went to see her with my daughter and a car filled with baby toys and things that we had culled while preparing for a move to Ottawa. I still remember Nichola's face when she saw all the stuffed that I brought her!

So, miles separated us from watching Myah grow in person but because of the miracle of social media we've gotten to know her and Tyson via Facebook. We've shared in their adventures and travels, read family posts about Myah's achievements and accomplishments, and followed the family as they waged battle against DPIG. What I learned about Myah is that she brought light, laughter, and love to everyone who knew her. That she was an awesome big sister. That she loved school and hated missing it to have her treatments. That she was brave and tolerant. She loved fairies. And she smiled for the morning 'selfies' even when she didn't feel like smiling - because it was important to her mom. That's the kind of person Myah was and that's why she'll make such an wonderful angel - because she's had so much practise here on Earth.
