We met Joan and Bill in the Dominican Republic two years ago in January. Kim was with them on the holiday and our friendship began when my Husband photo bombed Joan and Kim in a professional picure at the swimning pool. We shared many laughs and stories and exchanged contact information at the end of the holiday.
Joan and I kept in touch letting each other know how our famililes and lives were doing. They were in Ontario and and we in Alberta. It was a friendship separated by provinces but not by email.
We had planned to try to visit last summer but it did not work out so when we planned to go on holiday to the same resort we met Joan and Bill in Joan jumped on the wagon and booked to meet us there.
All of us were so excited. We had some family with us and when our reunion came , all of us felt we had known each other forever. We spend all the time together, our family loving Joan as much as we.
Our hearts were broken to lose such a beautiful and dear friend. Joan was such a realistic lady. Beautiful and down to earth. She lived each day to the fullest. Out on the glass bottom boat, dancing with the driver. Into the water for a swim. Northing stopped her.
We love you Joan and will always think of you. Our hearts and Thoughts are with all the family.
Love Don and Julia
