Hello! I've just heard too late of Larry's death, having been away. But Sunset Dr was 'guarded' by the house of Larry and Phyllis Groves, and by their barn out back. I do remember Rod and Gary enthusiastically offering to pay for half of the painting of Larry's van for his electrical business, back in the early 60's.
Phyllis laughed as she told the story. The arrangement called for the van's sides to proclaim: LE Groves and sons, Electrical Contractor, etc.
The total amount of the paint job, divided by half, was far too steep for the boys and their contribution shrank and shrank until it was about one week's allowance offered for the ...'and sons'... section of the paint job.
Always smiling, always gentle... Larry Groves...and now the sons and grandsons (and daughter) carry on the Groves name. And when I think of Larry I think of that dark blue van and the proclamation of business!
Blessings!
