On Sunday, May 3, 2020, the Lord took home our cherished mother, Oma and great-Oma, Wiebedina de Boer (Deelstra) at the age of 92 years. Wiebedina was predeceased by her loving husband Hedde de Boer in 1990. She will be dearly missed by her children: John & Carolyn de Boer, Redlands, California; Ed & Wilma de Boer, Limehouse, Ontario; Gary & Marcia de Boer, Brampton, Ontario; Don de Boer, Orangeville, Ontario; Douglas de Boer, Brampton, Ontario; Linda & Stuart Freeman, Orangeville, Ontario. She was Oma to 25 grandchildren and Great- Oma to 49 great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the staff of Grace Manor, Holland Christian Homes, for their loving care and kindness shown towards mom.
Due to these difficult times a small Family Service will take place Thursday, May 7, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. (Funeral is limited to Family Only) and will be live streamed through the Dods & McNair website. Mom will be laid to rest at Orangeville Greenwood Cemetery.
Lamentations 3: 21-24
“But this I call to mind, and therefore I have hope:
The steadfast love the LORD never ceases;
His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness
“The LORD is my portion,says my soul, “therefore I will hope in Him.”
A tree will be planted in memory of Wiebedina in the Dods & McNair Memorial Forest at the Island Lake Conservation Area, Orangeville. The annual dedication service will be held on Sunday, September 13, 2020 at 2:30 p.m. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.dodsandmcnair.com
