Wanda Jinette Small
While vacationing with family in Mexico, with her husband by her side, on Sunday, December 17, 2017 Wanda Jinette Small (nee Cartwright), of Grand Valley and formerly of Orangeville, age 58 years. Beloved wife of Stephen “Steve” Small. Dear mother of Shannon Gallant (Troy) and Trevor Small (Mindy). Very special “Samma” to Oaklie and Briar Gallant and grandma to Shelby Small. Daughter of Maynard and Betty Cartwright. Daughter-in-law of Jacqueline Lawson (Jack) and predeceased by Gerald Small. Sister-in-law of David Small and Michael Small (Susan). Loving aunt to Robert, Danielle, Angelina and Joel Small. Doggie grandma to Moose Jones Gallant and Cali Small.
Wanda will also be missed by her camping family and many other close friends. Her loving and caring nature will be missed by all, as she always put others before herself.
Visitation will take place at Dods & McNair Funeral Home, Chapel & Reception Centre 21 First St., Orangeville on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 from 12:30 to 3:00 p.m., with a celebration of life to immediately follow. Charities close to Wanda’s heart include Headwaters Health Care Foundation Cancer Unit and Canadian Cancer Society, in support of various family members’ past battles with cancer.
A tree will be planted in memory of Wanda in the Dods & McNair Memorial Forest at the Island Lake Conservation Area, Orangeville. A dedication service will be held on Sunday, September 9, 2018 at 2:30 p.m.
