Obituary for Vincent Lynham

Print
Lynham, Vincent
100 years young, passed away peacefully in his sleep Sunday, October 28, 2018 at Victoria Village, in Barrie, with family near his side. The Lord called him home where he will be embraced by his parents Alice Lynham (nee Nolan) and William Arthur Lynham.
Vince will always be adored by his loving wife, Dixie (nee Sinkins), his children Kerry Lynham, Cheryl Belanger (Michael), Colleen Simec (D.J.), Cindy Ferguson (Andrew) along with his precious grandchildren Melissa (Alex), Katelyn (Steve), Harris, Nicole (Kory), Ami, Nadine and Michael. With God’s gift he was blessed with 2 great-grandchildren, Jack and Scarlett, and another on her way. His family was the light of his life and brought so much joy and comfort to him, especially in his final days.
He is lovingly remembered by his sister Kay (98) and will be reunited with his siblings in heaven; brothers James and Arthur and sisters Winifred, Mary and Theresa. He will also be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews.
Vince, a proud veteran, had a full life. He worked at Northern Electric for 33 years, as well as Singer Sewing Machine in his younger days. Retired for 45 years, he continued to work, creating his own woodworking company and stayed busy enjoying his many hobbies. He was incredibly inventive and very talented. His love for music, golf, gardening, woodworking and hobby farming along with his adorable grandchildren kept him happy and healthy and played a major role in his longevity; forever hopeful and always looking ahead.
A special thank you to the staff at Bayfield House in Penetang and Victoria Village in Barrie for their loving care and support during Dad’s final days. Also, the family would like to extend their sincerest gratitude towards Dods & McNair Funeral Home for helping us through this difficult time with the utmost compassion and professionalism.
