Obituary for Valerie Rheault (Mulholland)

Rheault, Valerie Anne
August 9, 1947 – April 24, 2020

“When someone we love is in Heaven, there is a little bit of Heaven in our Home”.

Valerie passed away peacefully at the Avalon Care Centre, Orangeville on Friday, April 24, 2020 at the age of 72. Beloved wife of Lucien (Lou) Rheault. Dear daughter of Beatrice and Derwood (Buck) Mulholland; mother of Michelle Rheault, Carrie Rheault, Deena Sheridan; sister of Jim Mulholland, Margaret Gelesz, Debbie Taylor and Tom Mulholland. Cherished Grandma of Christopher and Ayden Sheridan, Brandon and Justin Hann, Gabriel and Kathryn Sirett.

Valerie will be sadly missed by her family and many good friends. She had a beautiful smile that would light up a room. Valerie enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, baking, music, and vacationing at her family’s cottage in Port Loring. A heartfelt thank you to the amazing and caring staff at the Avalon Care Centre for their loving and compassionate care of Valerie over the years.

“Our lives go on without you
But nothing is the same
We have to hide our heartache
When someone speaks your name
Sad are the hearts that love you
Silent are the tears that fall
Living here without you is the hardest part of all
You did so many things for us
Your heart was kind and true
And when we needed someone
We could always count on you
The special years will not return
When we are all together
But with the love in our hearts
You walk with us together”

In memory of Valerie, donations to the Alzheimer Society of Canada, your local food bank or charity of your choice are appreciated.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
