Passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 with his beloved wife Ruth of 62 years by his side. Loved father of Danny, Julie (Gary) and Maradele (Jon). Dear grandfather of 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Syd was predeceased by his siblings Mary Glassford, Bob Murray, Katie Murray and Janet Gamble. Syd will also be greatly missed by his brothers John and Cliff as well as other family and many friends.
Visitation will be held at the Dods & McNair Funeral Home, Chapel & Reception Centre, 21 First St., Orangeville on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.
Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at 2:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Heart & Stroke Foundation or a charity close to your heart.
A tree will be planted in memory of Syd in the Dods & McNair Memorial Forest at the Island Lake Conservation Area, Orangeville.
