Harrison, Shawn Michael
Gone But Never Forgotten
On Tuesday, February 21, 1967, Shawn Michael Harrison made his way into this world to parents Roy and Marie Harrison. Energetic and full of life, Shawn grew up a spirited youngster embracing all of the typical things a boy loved during his childhood and later adolescent years: the outdoors, dogs, sports, Star Wars,
music, and, of course, Monty Python. He was surrounded by a close knit group of friends who shared his enthusiasm for laughter, mischief making, and lust of life. Naturally funny, he was a force to be reckoned with always armed with a quip or witty comeback. Life coasted along until he met a certain brunette lady and as we all know, the rest is history. Shawn and Kim married, raising two beautiful daughters, Jennifer and Angie. He was hardworking always taking pride in any job or task to which he set his hands whether it was for a friend, co-worker, or family member. An avid cook, his talent in the kitchen was amazing to say the least. And, his love for cottaging and camping never left him. Countless days were spent at his family trailer, cottage, or at his cherished retreat with one of his best friends, Brett, on the Crowe River. But, of all of these things, the most important to Shawn was his family. His girls, all four of them, were his life.
The sun was shining on Sunday, June 21, 2020. It was Father’s Day and the first day of summer. Shawn went to sleep on the eve of June 20th beside his devoted wife Kim. Unfortunately for all those whose lives he touched, his eyes closed for the last time. Shawn passed peacefully in his sleep in the wee hours of June 21st leaving behind his loving wife Kim, his wonderful daughters Jennifer and Angie, and his pride and
joy, his granddaughter Peyton. Shawn was larger than life with a heart of gold. He will be sorely missed by all of his colleagues both current and former at CocaCola, as well as family and close friends. His absence will forever be felt by all whose lives he touched. Rest easy, Shawn. Cheers from all of us.
