Shannan blessed our world on September 20th 1968 and earned her wings to fly home June 7th 2020. Wife to Eric Hives (love of her life). Forever devoted mother to Shawn & Jessica. Loving auntie to Taylor, best friend & sister to Shondi. Stepmother to Chaylene Stephenson & Chris Hives, grandmother to Hendrix, Kenzie, Rhodes & Brendlynn. Shannan was loved by many and will be missed by us all. Our world will simply not be the same. Shannan's love of her friends, animals, nature and her fierce passion to take care of us all will remain in our hearts.
A leaf will be placed in the entrance to The Butterfly Garden at the Island Lake Conservation area as well, a tree will be planted in her honour within the Memorial Forest. Shannan would love the idea of her family and friends joining together in this beautiful place to celebrate her life year after year. A memorial video tribute will be available in the next few days.
A tree will be planted in memory of Shannan in the Dods & McNair Memorial Forest at the Island Lake Conservation Area, Orangeville. The annual dedication service will be held on Sunday, September 13, 2020 at 2:30 p.m. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.dodsandmcnair.com
