Peacefully at his home in Mono on Thursday, September 23, 2021 at the age of 93. Beloved husband of Rosemary Galbraith. Dear father of James & his wife Kathy and Pat Dickins & her husband Peter. Remembered by his step-children Keith (Linda), Rick (Fiona) and Nancy (Scott). Cherished grandfather of Sam (Megen) and Matthew, step-grandfather of Quin (Erin), Devin, Joshua, Finley and Kenji. Predeceased by his great-granddaughter Scarlett; his brother Bruce and his sisters Anna and Margaret. Samuel will also be greatly missed by other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held at the Dods & McNair Funeral Home, Chapel & Reception Centre, 21 First St., Orangeville on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. RSVP WILL BE REQUIRED.
A Private Family Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, September 30, 2021 (Webcast of funeral will be available at 2:30 p.m.). Memorial donations to Headwaters Health Care Foundation or Tweedsmuir Presbyterian Church would be appreciated by the family.
A tree will be planted in memory of Samuel in the Dods & McNair Memorial Forest at the Island Lake Conservation Area, Orangeville.
