July 25, 1943 - April 28, 2021
It is with profound sadness that we share our loss. Suddenly, in his 78th year, Richard passed away on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 after a courageous battle with cancer. Rick leaves behind his soul mate, his best friend Patricia, his wife of 54 years. He also leaves behind a cherished sister, Lynn; his beloved children: Wayne (Sharon), Pamela (Terry) and Lisa (Wayne); his grandchildren who were "his world": Jacob, Mikyla, Rebecca, Landen, Taylor and Cody. He will be dearly missed by his nieces, nephews and many friends.
Rick will never be forgotten and will always remain in our hearts.
A Celebration of Richard's Life will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Cystic Fibrosis Canada would be appreciated.
A tree will be planted in memory of Richard in the Dods & McNair Memorial Forest at the Island Lake Conservation Area, Orangeville. The next annual dedication service will be held on Sunday, September 12, 2021 at 2:30 p.m. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.dodsandmcnair.com
