Peacefully at Bethell Hospice on December 27, 2023 at the age of 82. Beloved husband of 60 years to Moira Brand. Dear father of Catherine Buchanan (2018) (Cameron), Sarah Condlln (Matthew), Lisa Hogben (David), Michael (Lindsey), Laura Rice (Greg) and Stephen (Taylor). Cherished grandfather of Christopher, Michelle, Victoria (Kirk), Devin, Calen (Victoria), Logan (Jaida), Parker, Cohen, Jackson, Taylor, Charlotte, Reagan and Kaitlyn. Great-grandfather of Lucas, Olivia, Carter and Briar. Remembered by his brother James (Gail). Predeceased by his sister Patricia Brown. Michael will also be greatly missed by other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held at the Dods & McNair Funeral Home, Chapel & Reception Centre, 21 First St., Orangeville on Friday January 5th, 2024 from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Funeral Service will be held at St. Timothy Catholic Church 42 Dawson Rd. Orangeville on January 6th, 2024 at 10:00 am. Reception to follow mass at Dods & McNair Reception Centre. Memorial donations to Bethell Hospice would be appreciated by the family.
A tree will be planted in memory of Michael in the Dods & McNair Memorial Forest at the Island Lake Conservation Area, Orangeville. 22nd Annual Dedication Service will be held on Sunday, September 8, 2024 at 2:00 p.m.
