Nussey, Maurice Richard (Rick)
Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at Bethell Hospice in Inglewood with his family by his side after a long battle with cancer. Beloved husband of Kathy (Nairn) for 45 years. Devoted father to Jeremy and Mark Nussey. Brother to Randy (Alicia), Barb (Ken), Michael (Pat), Susan (Paul). Predeceased by his sister Carol (Bob) Dickson and parents Elva and Bud Nussey. Brother-in-law to Ken (Sharon) Nairn and Joan (Bob) Wilson. Predeceased by brother-in-law Doug Nairn and Kathryn's parents Ansley & Gladys Nairn. Rick will be remembered by several nieces and nephews. Rick was a high school teacher for 30 years at ODSS and had a love for farming which he did for 25 years.
Visitation will be held at the Dods & McNair Funeral Home, Chapel & Reception Centre, 21 First St., Orangeville on Sunday, December 1, 2019 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. with words of remembrance at 3:30 p.m. Memorial donations to Bethell Hospice Foundation, Grand Valley Lions Club or Community Living Dufferin would be appreciated by the family.
A tree will be planted in memory of Maurice in the Dods & McNair Memorial Forest at the Island Lake Conservation Area, Orangeville. The annual dedication service will be held on Sunday, September 13, 2020 at 2:30 p.m. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.dodsandmcnair.com
