Marion Bannister passed away peacefully at Headwaters Health Care Centre on Saturday April 29th at the age of 91. Beloved wife of the late Gerald. Dear mother to Maureen, Beverly (the late Ron 2015), Julie (Dustin) and the late sons Gary and Wayne. Beloved grandmother to April (Nick), Ronald, Maureen, Brendan and Yvonne. Nanny to Nicholas and Nicole. Marion will also be greatly missed by her sister Dot. Marion also had 3 sisters Kay (late), Thelma (late) and Sissy (late) as well as other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held at the Dods & McNair Funeral Home, Chapel & Reception Centre, 21 First St., Orangeville on Thursday from 10:00am until time of funeral service at 11:00am. Reception to follow the funeral service. Interment will take place at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Orangeville. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
Marion always had an amazing sense of humour and loved to shop. She always had her hair done and lipstick on and loved to look her best.
A tree will be planted in memory of Marion in the Dods & McNair Memorial Forest at the Island Lake Conservation Area, Orangeville. 21st Annual Dedication Service will be held on Sunday, September 10, 2023 at 2:00 p.m.
