Glen, Lynda Elizabeth (nee Willett)
Suddenly at Hospital de Gaspe, Quebec on Monday, June 22, 2020 at the age of 53. Beloved wife of Charles Glen. Dear mother of Jess Glen (Jordan Graham) and Chas Glen. Cherished daughter of Ron Willett (Donna). Predeceased by her mother Eileen (2019). Lynda will also be greatly missed by her brothers, sister, father-in-law Papa Charlie (Nana Mary RIP), sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.
Lynda was born in Weston, Ontario on December 18, 1966. Little did her parents know then what a firecracker she would grow up to be. She grew up in Bramalea, Ontario and remained a “Bramalea Girl” until her passing. Lynda met the love of her life when she was just 11 years old. They started out as friends, dated as teenagers, and then went on to marry on June 24, 1989. As a young girl, Lynda went through school to be a hairdresser. She worked at that for many years until she had her beloved children – Jess and Chas. Lynda had a zest for life. She lived with a sense of excitement, anticipation, and energy while she approached any task. Lynda loved the beach, always yearning to put her toes in the sand and to “float” on a raft for a while. Lynda always gave you her undivided attention, which always made everyone she met feel special. She had more friends than one could count and never ran out of time for each and every one of them. Her children’s friends came into her home as friends and left as part of the family. Lynda’s heart knew no boundaries and she has left her mark on all those who had the great fortune of knowing her. She will be deeply missed.
Private Funeral Service will be held at Dods & McNair Funeral Home, Chapel & Reception Centre, 21 First Street, Orangeville on Friday, July 3, 2020. (Webcast for public viewing available live on Friday at 11:00 a.m.)
A tree will be planted in memory of Lynda in the Dods & McNair Memorial Forest at the Island Lake Conservation Area, Orangeville. The annual dedication service will be held on Sunday, September 13, 2020 at 2:30 p.m. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.dodsandmcnair.com
