Obituary for Lois Anna Mateev (Pratt)

Mateev, Lois Anna (nee Pratt)
Our loving mom Lois Anna Mateev passed away peacefully at the Headwaters Health Care Centre in Orangeville Ontario on April 15,2021. She was born in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia in 1937, and was the eldest daughter of Maurice and Nelly Pratt, and two siblings June and Fred who pre-deceased Lois. She is survived by her four children; Daniel Mateev (Melody), June Porter (Howey), Nata Mateev and Simeon Mateev (Sylvie). She was a loving grandmother to ten grandchildren: Tyler and Matthew Mateev and Jasmine Brausen, Dana Michelle and Sarah Porter, Megan, Whitney, Holly and Jake Mateev. She is also survived by five great grandchildren: Oliver, Noah Boston, Amber and Axle Mateev as well as numerous nieces and nephews and her brother-in-law Jordan Mateev.
Lois spent her early years in Nova Scotia, her family moved to Kapuskasing where she met the love of her life Vasil Mateev, and their family grew. Vasil predeceased Lois in 1985 and she spent time with her children in Kapuskasing before moving to the Caledon Area to be closer to her children and grandchildren.
Lois enjoyed music, loved to have fun, and enjoyed a good time. She loved to watch movies, go for long walks and play with her cat. She had an infectious laugh and was loved by all who had the pleasure of knowing our beautiful mother.

God Speed mom.
