Obituary for Lee Maunu
Maunu, Leo Frederick "Lee"
Sad to announce the passing of our husband, father, brother, uncle and friend on Monday, August 29th, 2022 at the age of 78. Leaves behind his loving wife, Judy of 51 years. Greatly missed by his son Darren and wife Laura, daughter Christine and husband Ivan, grandchildren Cam and Tyler; as well as other family and friends. Predeceased by his loving parents Fred and Aini Maunu, brother Unto and sister-in-law Ivy. He was an avid aviation enthusiast, birder, fisherman and had an appreciation for all things nature. His passions included playing guitars and listening to the blues, and most of all he looked forward to spending time with his family at his summer "camp" (cottage) in Thunder Bay.
A tree will be planted and a dedication service will be held in memory of Lee at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
