It is with the deepest regret that we announce the passing of Larry Spitzig. Larry passed away after complications of surgery on Monday, September 13, 2021. Husband of 47 years to Carol, loving and so proud father of his 4 children Krista (Peter) Goulos, Hope (deceased), Heather (Chuck) Benjamin and L.J. Spitzig. Larry also doted on and was very proud of his 8 grandchildren Shii-Ann, Josh, Christian, Maddi, Abby, Olivia, Emily, and last but definitely not least our little Frankie. Larry was a longtime employee of 35 years for the Region of Peel until retirement, and avid sports person Baseball, Bowling, Umpiring, Golf. Anytime you came into our house it was usually sports on the television. Larry will be greatly missed by many family, for whom he thought was so important, and friends
Funeral Service will be held at the Dods & McNair Funeral Home, Chapel & Reception Centre, Orangeville on Sunday, September 19, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. with Visitation beginning at 12:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke or Southlake Hospital is requested.
Thank you Southlake for all your support through this tough time, you went above and beyond.
A tree will be planted in memory of Larry in the Dods & McNair Memorial Forest at the Island Lake Conservation Area, Orangeville.
