Obituary for Kristen Lee Hackett

Hackett, Kristen Lee

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beautiful angel, Kristen Hackett on Tuesday November 7th. Surrounded by her loved ones, she was called to heaven after a long and treacherous battle with cancer.

Kristen was a mother, partner, daughter, granddaughter, sister, aunt, best friend, and most importantly a fighter. Despite the difficult circumstances, she never lost her faith in God.

Her all-time dream of becoming a mother was fulfilled when her little miracle baby Travis, came into the world. Although their time together was brief, he brought so much love and joy into her life and gave her hope.

The bravery and determination portrayed by Kristen was an inspiration to many. She always went above and beyond what typical friendships call for. Often putting others before herself.

Kristen will be remembered for her kind heart, her positive energy, her generosity and unwavering selflessness for others.

Anyone who knew Kristen knew that she was a special soul. Her legacy will live on in not only her son, but in all the memories she’s left with each and every person whose life she touched.

Kristen is survived by her fiancé Brad Aiello, her son Travis Joseph Aiello, her mother Debra Evans, her two brothers Nicholas and Matthew Krula, her sister Lisa Krula and her sister Megan Hackett.

The funeral will be held on Monday November 13, 2023 at Dods & McNair Funeral Home, Chapel & Reception Centre located at 21 First St, Orangeville, ON L9W 2C8. There will be a viewing from 4PM - 6PM Service at 6PM with reception to follow. Webcast will be available prior to service to view.

A tree will be planted in memory of Kristen in the Dods & McNair Memorial Forest at the Island Lake Conservation Area, Orangeville. 22nd Annual Dedication Service will be held on Sunday, September 8, 2024 at 2:00 p.m.
