McKibbon, Keith George Loving husband of Trish. Beloved Dad of Glenda (Martin). Proud grandpa of Brittany (Kevin). Adored great-grandpa of Mya and Brook. Predeceased by brothers Elwood, Gordon, Murray and Laverne McKibbon and sisters Doris Kerr and Jean Adair. Keith will be greatly missed by nieces, nephews and many friends. Keith was interested in people. No matter where he was, he would always stop to chat to the people around him. Hearing about their activities and what their plans were for the rest of the day interested him. He especially loved to share a joke or two. He had an avid interest in gardening. He would work constantly around the property making plans for improvements, new gardens or changing the gardens he already had. The property was always a work in progress. His grand daughter Brittany and his great granddaughters Mya and Brook held a special place in his heart. Keith enjoyed going out watching them participate at horse shows, cheering them on and watching while they were awarded their ribbons. In addition to his own family, Keith was always concerned about his community family, devoting a great deal of his time advocating for handicap people. Access to buildings and handicap parking were two of his concerns. Many letters were written to the Citizen commenting on access problems or difficulties and advocating changes for improvement. No matter which organization he was involved with, the Lions, Orangeville Agricultural Society or the Horticultural Society, he always like to make suggestions for improving what was happening. His interest in a variety of subjects and his stubborn pursuit of fairness will be missed by all. Funeral Service will be held at the Dods & McNair Funeral Home, Chapel & Reception Centre 21 First St. Orangeville, Ontario on Saturday, June 17th, 2023 at 11:00 am. with visitation beginning at 10:00 am. Memorial donations to St. Marks Church or the Orangeville Food Bank would be appreciated by the family. A tree will be planted in memory of Keith in the Dods & McNair Memorial Forest at the Island Lake Conservation Area, Orangeville. 21st Annual Dedication Service will be held on Sunday, September 10, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.dodsandmcnair.com
