Banks, Joseph Allan
Passed away after a courageous fight, surrounded by his family on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at the age of 68. Alfie, beloved husband of Janice. Loving father of Kym Banks-Northcutt, Wayne (Vickie) and Amanda (Mark). Cherished grumpa of Hannah, Ella, Owenn, Emmalin, Holden, Sawyer, Gage and Killian. Dear brother of Joan Daley, Donna (Jim) Pearson, Holly (deceased) (Ed) Thornton, Ron (deceased), and Larry (Joan). Predeceased by his parents Joe and Jessie and his companion Anita. Allan will also be greatly missed by his many nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Allan had a nickname for almost everyone and most knew him as Al, Alfie, Animal and Hound Dog. He was a pretty incredible loader operator and a skilled auto body man. He loved his dogs, always had at least one dog riding shotgun with him. We are forever grateful for his amazing friends and neighbours in Gamebridge and to Richard for always being there for dad.
A Memorial Visitation will be held at Dods & McNair Funeral Home, Chapel & Reception Centre, 21 First St., Orangeville on Saturday, November 27, 2021 from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. Memorial donations to the Ontario Lung Association or the OSPCA would be appreciated by the family.
A tree will be planted in memory of Allan in the Dods & McNair Memorial Forest at the Island Lake Conservation Area, Orangeville.
