August 30, 1932 - March 3, 2021
John passed away peacefully at home in the early hours of March 3, 2021. He will be greatly missed by his wife, Sandra. Dear father of Karl and his wife Cindy (Cheeseman), Kirk, Kally and her husband Wayne (Nicholson). Cherished Grandfather to Kirsten, Victoria, Jake, Shyann, Graydon and Benjamin.
Proud Great Grandfather to Sophia. John will also be missed by his special friends and neighbours.
John loved nature and enjoyed being outdoors and spent most of his time working in his orchard and gardens alongside his many dog companions.
The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Chartwell-Montgomery Village and the Nurses from Bayshore for their excellent care and support in John’s final days.
Private Family Services to celebrate John’s life will take place at a later date.
Memorial donations to the Wildlife Preservation Canada- wildlifepreservation.ca would be appreciated by the family.
A tree will be planted in memory of John in the Dods & McNair Memorial Forest at the Island Lake Conservation Area, Orangeville. The next annual dedication service will be held on Sunday, September 12, 2021 at 2:30 p.m. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.dodsandmcnair.com
