Peacefully at her home, surrounded by her loving family after a short battle with cancer on Friday, July 5, 2019 at the age of 87. Beloved wife of Martin Verstegen (2012). Dear mother of Jose (Bert), Jack (Dymphi), Neil (Frida) and Hans. Cherished oma of Anouk, Quince, Roos, Daphne, Amber, Stan, Valerie, Marco and Jack. Loving great-oma of Melle. Remembered by her brothers John and Bart. Predeceased by her brother Kees and her sister Cor. Johanna will also be greatly missed by other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held at the Dods & McNair Funeral Home, Chapel & Reception Centre, 21 First St., Orangeville on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Timothy Catholic Church, 42 Dawson Road, Orangeville, on Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. Interment - Laurel Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Credit Valley Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
A tree will be planted in memory of Johanna in the Dods & McNair Memorial Forest at the Island Lake Conservation Area, Orangeville. The annual dedication service will be held on Sunday, September 8, 2019 at 2:30 p.m. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.dodsandmcnair.com
