Shephard, Joan Dorothy (nee Hibbard)
Passed away peacefully at Dufferin Oaks, Shelburne on Saturday, September 5, 2020 at the age of 89. Beloved wife of the late Bob Shephard (2010). Dear mother of Fred Taylor, Bill Shephard (Rossana), Don Shephard (Jennifer), and Kimberly Helowka (Ken). Grandmother of Brandon, Brittany, Chad, Delaney, Jordan, Reese, and Elena. Great grandmother of Anjre Don. Joan will also be greatly missed by her sister Diane Barnes, and is predeceased by her brother Jack Hibbard.
As per Joan's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no service. Her ashes will be taken to one of her favourites places, Cancun, Mexico, at a later date.
A tree will be planted in memory of Joan Dorothy in the Dods & McNair Memorial Forest at the Island Lake Conservation Area, Orangeville. The next annual dedication service will be held on Sunday, September 12, 2021 at 2:30 p.m. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.dodsandmcnair.com
