I will never forget the day you came into my life Janette, I didn't end up in pops office by chance over 2 decades ago. Our father in heaven brought us together. You told me of his love when all I had ever been taught of was his punishment You lead me to Jesus that day and through the years continued to guide and teach me his ways. I consider myself highly blessed and favored to have had your influence in my life as a teacher a friend but most importantly a mother in not only faith but life. You are the woman of proverbs.
I thank you for setting the example of what it means to truly love and be loved, of walking in the faith, regardless of how hard it can be.. Of serving others and the blessing that is in itself. I promise you I will continue to seek Our Saviour Our Jesus until you return in His Glory.
I love you to the moon and back momma

Whenever I think about Oma Janette, I think of how I could possibly be more like her. Then I remember that I probably want to be like her, because she was always trying to be more like Jesus. To know Janette was to witness a love only God himself could manifest within someone. To grow up with her in my life and sharing that love with me was a gift from God in itself. I send my condolences, love and prayers to her family and friends.

My most sincere condolences to the Harris and Zijlstra families.
The world seems off kilter with the news that Janette, or our beloved "Charlie" is not with us. She was a pillar, a support and a faithful mentor. Charlie loved God. She abided in Him. Her life was one of the truest examples of a genuine walk with Jesus. Memories of her leading our Pioneer Girl's group flood in: baking souffle, tenting in her backyard, practicing our posture, all amid much laughter. But most clear of all is this: she loved us. She was interested in us, she cheered our efforts, and she hugged like no one else. In years when preteens and not always lovable, she saw us as God did and loved us with the overflow of her love for Him.
Charlie leaves a hole that will never be filled. She leaves a challenge for us to abide and love as she did,
I can just picture her now in heaven, hugging everyone she meets.

Donna and I remember Janette with love and joy. She brought a brightness to everything she did. She welcomed me (Richard) when I first came to the city. Janette is an inspiration to us always. She encouraged us more during her last months than we could her. Our prayers are with the entire family at this time. May God's comfort and peace be with you. Donna and RIchard Steinecke.
